Sebarindo Hotel – At Dubai International Airport, transit passengers can sleep without passing through immigration at the Dubai International Hotel, which sits airside in Terminal 3. For shorter rests, pay-per-use rooms in the concourses are another option.
This guide is for travelers connecting through Dubai International (DXB). Details come from Dubai Airports’ media centre and a lounge directory listing, checked on October 26, 2026. Rates are not listed, since they change and are shown on the hotel’s own site.
Airside or Landside First
The first decision is whether you will stay in the transit area. Staying airside means no immigration check and no need to collect checked bags.
Leaving the airport means passing through UAE immigration, which depends on your nationality’s entry rules. Check the official UAE government entry requirements for your passport before choosing a hotel outside the airport.
1. Dubai International Hotel in Terminal 3
The Dubai International Hotel is airside in Terminal 3, with rooms on the upper levels of Concourses A, B and C, according to Dubai Airports. It has 530 rooms, from Deluxe rooms to suites.
Deluxe rooms range from 30 to 150 square meters, according to the same page. Rooms include Wi-Fi, a minibar, a safe and tea and coffee facilities.
What this means for you: because the hotel spans three concourses, ask for a room in the concourse your next flight departs from. That cuts the morning walk.
2. Executive Floor and Suites
Executive Floor and suite guests get a complimentary buffet breakfast from 05:30 to 10:30 and access to an Executive Lounge, according to Dubai Airports. A 24-hour à la carte menu is available to guests.
For a long layover, these extras can matter more than room size. Compare the price gap with what you would spend on food in the terminal.
3. Paid Rest Rooms in the Concourses
Sleepover, formerly sleep ‘n fly, operates in Terminal 3. Its Concourse B location sits between Gates B14 and B18, near the Emirates Connections Desk, according to American Express’s lounge directory.
It lists private rooms and showers with charges, plus Wi-Fi and flight monitors. Access is for international departing passengers and subject to availability.
Pack for an Airside Night
Dubai Airports advises hotel guests to keep personal items in their hand luggage. Hold luggage can only be reached after customs and immigration.
Pack a change of clothes, medicines, chargers and toiletries within your airline’s cabin limits. If your bags are checked through to your final destination, you will not see them during the layover.
Before You Book a Layover Room
Check your onward flight’s terminal and concourse first. Most long-haul connections at DXB use Terminal 3, but not all.
Book through the hotel’s official website or the airport’s listed channels. Set two alarms and leave time to reach your gate.
A short layover is often better spent in a lounge. A long one, of eight hours or more, is when an airside room usually pays off.
Room rates, taxes, check-in times and hotel policies change often. Confirm the details on the hotel’s official website or in your booking confirmation before you pay.
