Sebarindo Hotel – Singapore Changi Airport has two kinds of hotels. Transit hotels sit airside, so you can sleep without clearing immigration. Landside hotels, such as YOTELAIR at Jewel and Crowne Plaza at Terminal 3, require you to pass through immigration first.
This guide is for travelers with a layover or an awkward flight time at Changi. Details come from Changi Airport’s official transit hotel page, checked on October 25, 2026.
Transit or Landside: The Key Choice
The first question is whether you want to stay in the transit area. If you are connecting and do not want to pass through immigration, only an airside transit hotel works.
If you have a long layover and want to visit Jewel or the city, a landside hotel can make sense. Check your entry requirements for Singapore before choosing that route.
| Hotel | Where | Airside or landside | Immigration needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Changi Transit Hotel | T1, Level 3, near Gate D40 | Airside | No |
| Ambassador Transit Hotel | T2, Level 3, Departure Transit Hall South | Airside | No |
| Changi Transit Hotel | T3, Level 3, next to the Movie Theatre | Airside | No |
| YOTELAIR Singapore Changi Airport | Jewel, Level 4 | Landside | Yes |
| Crowne Plaza Changi Airport | connected to T3 | Landside | Yes |
1. Changi Transit Hotel in T1 and T3
Changi Transit Hotel has locations in Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, both on Level 3 in the Departure Transit Hall, according to Changi Airport. Both are open 24 hours and offer flexible booking durations.
They suit a connection where you land and fly out from the same or a nearby terminal. Check which terminal your onward flight uses before you book.
2. Ambassador Transit Hotel in T2
The Terminal 2 transit hotel is on Level 3 in the Departure Transit Hall South and is open 24 hours. Changi Airport notes that from November 3, 2026, it will be operated by Changi Transit Hotel.
What this means for you: if you book around that date, confirm the operator and booking channel shown on Changi Airport’s official page.
3. YOTELAIR at Jewel
YOTELAIR Singapore Changi Airport is in Jewel, on Level 4, outside the transit area. Cabins can be booked from four hours, and check-in and check-out run 24 hours, according to Changi Airport.
Because it is landside, you must clear immigration and leave the transit area to use it. It suits travelers who want to explore Jewel or start a short city visit.
4. Crowne Plaza Changi Airport
Crowne Plaza Changi Airport opened in 2008 with direct access to Terminal 3, linked by covered walkways, according to an IHG release. It is a full hotel rather than an hourly cabin, so it suits overnight stays before an early flight.
Like YOTELAIR, it is outside the transit area. You need to clear immigration to reach it.
5. JetQuay Sleeping Suite
JetQuay, Changi’s private CIP terminal, offers a sleeping suite. Changi Airport lists a 6-hour package at S$120, extensions at S$20 per hour, and a 10 to 22-hour rate of S$200.
There is a catch. Guests must book a JetQuay Quayside or Jetside service and clear JetQuay’s private immigration. That makes it a premium option, not a quick nap room.
Before You Book a Layover Hotel
Match the hotel to your terminals. Moving between terminals airside is possible at Changi, but it takes time, so add a buffer before your onward flight.
Book only through the hotel’s official site or Changi Airport’s listed channels. Write down your onward flight’s boarding time and set two alarms.
Decide first whether you will clear immigration. That single answer narrows the list to the right hotels.
Room rates, taxes, check-in times and hotel policies change often. Confirm the details on the hotel’s official website or in your booking confirmation before you pay.
