Marina Bay Sands Hotel: Check-In, Pool and Extra Costs

Marina Bay Sands is famous for its rooftop pool, but the policies that shape a stay are less known. Here are its check-in and check-out...

Hotel Profiles

Sebarindo Hotel – Marina Bay Sands has a standard check-in time of 3 p.m. and check-out at 11 a.m., according to its official FAQ. Its rooftop SkyPark Infinity Pool is for hotel guests only.

This guide is for travelers considering a stay at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. All policies come from the hotel’s official FAQ, checked on October 26, 2026. Room rates change daily, so compare them on the official site for your dates.

Check-In and Check-Out Times

Standard check-in is 3 p.m. and check-out is 11 a.m. Early check-in depends on availability, and the hotel suggests booking from the night before to guarantee an early room.

If your room is not ready, the hotel says it will register you, store your luggage and give temporary keycards. Those cards open the SkyPark Infinity Pool, the SkyPark Observation Deck and the fitness center.

What this means for you: on a morning arrival, you can still use the pool before the room is ready.

Late Check-Out Charges

Late check-out is possible on request, subject to availability. The hotel asks for requests at least 24 hours before departure.

Check-out between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. costs a half-day room charge. After 6 p.m., it costs a full-day room charge, according to the FAQ.

Say your flight leaves at 11 p.m. A 6 p.m. check-out at half the room rate may be cheaper than a second night, but compare both prices first.

The SkyPark Infinity Pool

The SkyPark Infinity Pool is open to hotel guests only. Visitors who are not staying can buy tickets for the separate SkyPark Observation Deck instead.

For the Observation Deck, children under 2 enter without a ticket, and children under 13 must be with an adult aged 18 or older, according to the FAQ.

Room Requests to Make When Booking

Smoking and non-smoking rooms are available, subject to availability on arrival. Ask at booking if this matters to you.

A baby cot is free on request, while an extra bed costs extra. Room capacity depends on the room category and on fire and safety limits, so check the maximum guests before booking a family room.

Getting There From Changi Airport

A metered taxi from Changi Airport takes about 20 to 30 minutes and costs roughly S$20 to S$40, depending on traffic, according to the hotel. Marina Bay Sands does not run a shuttle bus, but private transfers can be arranged.

Parking and Loyalty Perks

Hotel guests do not get free parking. The front desk sells self-parking coupons at S$12.84 per entry, and valet at Hotel Tower 1 costs S$22 per 24 hours.

Members of Sands LifeStyle, the free loyalty program, get parking perks by tier. Higher tiers can get free parking with a same-day spend or outright.

Before You Book

Read the room category’s maximum occupancy on the official site, since it varies by room type. Confirm whether your rate includes tax and service charges.

If a pool visit is the main reason for the stay, plan your arrival day around it. Temporary keycards let you start before check-in.

Before booking, compare the cost of a late check-out with an extra night for your flight time.

Room rates, taxes, check-in times and hotel policies change often. Confirm the details on the hotel’s official website or in your booking confirmation before you pay.
